Do you offer college counseling services? All students are assigned to academic advisors that help both parents and students with questions and concerns that arise throughout students’ career planning and/or college preparation. TOP
Do I have to know everything to oversee distance learning? Students need a basic understanding of computers. Education Advance Online Private School does provide technical support to help with initial login problems and any questions that our students or parents have at 609-980-6621. TOP

What does an academic advisor do? Academic advisors help students and parents to decide which classes they will take and provide assistance with filling out college applications. TOP
Does your school have a payment plan or have financial aid? Education Advance Online Private School partners with Sallie Mae for financial assistance. Please, click here to apply. TOP
What happens after the enrollment process is over? Once students are enrolled, they will take our entrance exam. The results of the exam, transcripts from previous schools, and parental/student input are used to determine which classes students will take. Then, students will receive their username and passwords. Textbooks for those classes are then mailed to the student’s home address. TOP
When will I be able to start if I enroll today? Classes begin in September 2008. If enrolled after that date, then it would take approximately 1 week after enrollment. This allows time for the student to receive all necessary materials.

What grade level will I enter into? Students will enter the grade level based on the
following components:
past school transcripts, entrance exam, and a meeting
with parents and Education Advance School advisors. TOP
Do I need to be with my child all day while he is doing schoolwork? Education Advance Online Private School encourages partnerships between parents, teachers, and students. Parental involvement is essential for all grades, however, it is especially crucial for students in kindergarten, first, and second grades. They require more assistance with computers. The degree of involvement may lessen as the year continues. Older students usually do not require as much assistance. TOP
Where can I find outside tutors to help with difficult subjects? We offer private, online tutoring services. TOP
Will I get credit in our home state?Education Advance Online Private School is an
accredited online school and should be recognized by any local school
district and all colleges and universities. You will be provided with
report cards, full transcript and earned achievement awards or diploma.TOP
Can I enroll in the middle of the school year? Yes, students can enroll in the middle of the school year. Transcripts will be requested from your previous school to determine which classes you were taking there. TOP
Does having a high school diploma from EAOPS limit my chances for attending a university? No, it does not. Our diploma is recognized by two-year and four-year institutions. TOP
Do I have to take Physical Education? EAOPS does require physical education. We encourage students to participate in community sports, join a local gym, or even participate in a dance class. Parents create a portfolio of the student’s activities and send it to EAOPS at:

What is your attendance policy? Students must attend 180 days. Absences will not be considered excused without a doctor’s note or parent note. Assignments will be accepted late when absences are excused. TOP
Can I work at my own pace and move on to the next grade? Due to the interactive nature of our classes, students will end classes at the same time as their classmates. TOP
If I drop a course, will it show up on my transcript? The only courses that students can withdraw from are electives. If you wish to withdraw from an elective course, please contact your academic advisor. TOP
Where can I easily email staff and receive the latest information about student activities? A list of staff contacts will be given to students when they enroll and register for classes. We are creating a Student Center on the website. It is coming soon. TOP
What happens if I don’t submit work in a timely manner? Your grade for that assignment will be reduced when it is turned in late. Therefore, it is important for all students to submit their assignments on time. TOP
Where can I see my grades or teacher comments? Student grade books are posted online and will be viewable 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please, click here to view your child’s grades. TOP
Will the teacher work with me to better my grade? Our teachers are happy to work with students to help them better understand classroom materials. You may speak to them in class or schedule a phone appointment to discuss any problems that students are experiencing. TOP
